Taiyou No Uta (A song to the sun)

A girl who can only live at night and a high school student who loves to surf as the sun rises...

The two had nothing in common...

Kaoru Amane, 18 years old, did not attend school but instead sang herself away every night after dark at a square in front of a train station with a guitar in her hands. She led a lifestyle opposite the norm, sleeping during the day and active at night. Kaoru was suffering from XP (xeroderma pigmentosum), an illness, which also might be described as the allergy to the sun, and was not allowed to be exposed to sunlight. The only motivation in her life was singing, which also was the only connection to the outside world. One day, an incident drastically changes her life...

Kaoru returns home at 4:00 am, before sunrise. Outside her room window, she spots a high school student standing with a surf board in his hands. It becomes her routine to watch him and his friends come and go to the ocean every morning, before going to sleep.

Their destined encounter takes place during the few hours before the break of day, drawing together two individuals that would have never met in daylight. However, Kouji does not know about her illness. The two rapidly fall for one another and continues to meet in the city at night. Then one day, an incident leads Kouji to learn of Kaoru's illness. Kaoru gives up her first love telling herself that, "I shouldn't have allowed myself to dream of a happy life. I am not normal after all." She even gives up singing. Kouji seeing Kaoru at such a state encourages her by suggesting, "Let's meet only at night," and comes up with a brilliant present for her.

She had been leading a life carefully placing herself beyond the reach of harm, with no intent to pursue a dream. However, Kouji had shone a light on her heart making her want to sing once again. However, her illness which has quietly progressed, has started to pressure her nerve system, keeping her from playing the guitar at her will...

I was watching this clip at youtube when suddenly Kame grabbed the mic and sang this particular song which i heard before long time ago but just couldn't figure out which dorama is that song from. So pls, if anyone of you know that song, tag me.

During the 24hr TV charity show, Akanishi-kun read a very touching letter. Here's a translation of the letter.



I would like to give my take on what Kizuna(bond) means to me. At first it represented my existance -- My family. Dad, Mom, Brother and also my close friends. They have always supported me. Because of them, there is me.

After experiencing 24HOUR TV with everyone and sharing this bond, I found a new meaning. Everyone please take a moment to thank those who love you and feel the importance of that bond.

I've also received much support from my fellow bandmates as well.

Kame: During Gokusen, having you there amongst all the unfamiliar staff and your companionship helped me a lot.

Koki: Your always positive energy and smile encourages me greatly.

Ueda: Even though we fight a lot, I admire his ability to calmly and thoughtfully think things through. This is something that I can never do.

Junno: Taguchi really likes games. Even though he looses himself in those games, his positive outlook reaches out to the rest of us.

Nakamaru: Nakamaru, of all of us (kat-tun) you are the most aware of all of our thoughts and feelings. Thank you for always being the sweet person you are.

Everyone has their own life to live. Even though there are times of sadness and hardship, these are the words I live by "For every tear shed, there is a smile waiting at the end of the tunnel" [a line from Jin's song -- Care].

To the staff of 24HOUR TV, to all the hosts, and to everyone who participated or helped put this event together--- thank you.

I had difficulty in blending the images of Ryo and Erika..but at last it turned out ok. 1 litre of tears is definately one of my fav show..although i watched it for over 10 times, i will still cry like hell. One of the saddest part is where Aya wrote a love letter to Asou-kun. She told him it's a love letter but actually it's a break up letter. Here's what she wrote:


To Asou-kun

I write this letter because if I see you face-to-face, I will probably be unable to speak my mind.
For always being by my side, thank you.
For giving me encouragement, thank you.
Seeing that Asou-kun has found his dream and radiating with such liveliness,
I'm happy too.
Being able to learn various things and meet different kinds of people,
You will keep on living and living.
Your future is big without limit.
But it's different with me,
I can only live out what's left of my future, just that.
It's just only that. It can't be any different.
Every day I fight with myself.
The troubles, the pain, I have to use all my might to keep those feelings in check.

Ok, i just found out that there's Indonesian version of the drama series, (Korean)Goong, My Girl, (Taiwan) It started with a kiss, The Prince who turns into a frog and At the Dolphin Bay.

The funniest thing is, for the original version of My Girl, Yoorin stole mandarin oranges from the villa..whereas for the Indo version, the lady stole starfruits!! *lol*

So far they didn't copy any of the Japanese series. I'm imagining an Indo version of Gokusen. It's gonna be hilarious. But i gotta admit, the Indo actors who acted in the series are so gorgeous.
